DJ Bliss joins Soundpond
After much competition and careful consideration, Soundpond.net is pleased to announce DJ Bliss will be joining our ranks, hosting a weekly live 2 hour show. Thursdays from 4pm-6pm, she’ll be streaming live online with video and our chatroom, Bliss joins over 40 other weekly hosts.
There’s no doubt that Bliss (aka Roweana McIntyre) has seen her DJ career absolutely take off in recent years. She is the former resident dj at the Playboy Club in Macao, which opened many new windows of opportunity. She has played for the likes of B.O.B, Lil Jon and took the main stage at the infamous ‘Playboy Midsummer Nights Dream’ party as well as the ‘International Gaming Conference’ party, where she was able to show of her skills to club owners across the globe. Not only has Bliss toured every major city throughout Australia, she has also been tracking across the globe, sharing her talents in Taiwan, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and just recently, Malaysia as the Offiicial Dj for the F1 after parties in 2012. During this time Bliss was asked to shoot for the Malaysia FHM and be the covergirl for the May edition. Returning to AUS she graced the stage at Parklife 2011 and Future Music Festival in 2012.
Bliss has been known for her blends of Big Room House, Electro, Dance, RnB & Commercial Top 40 mixed with old school favourites. Most of which is already well represented on Soundpond. Soundpond was started to help represent people passionate about the more “underground” sounds. So why would we give an already successful, well recognised artist a slot? It’s simple. When she approached us, she explained that she’s passionate about genres of music she doesn’t have an outlet for. Her application mentioned that she wanted a show as an outlet to play euro house, tribal, and tech house…along with mashing up a variety of genres. You know what? This is exactly why we started the station. To create places for people to express things they don’t have opportunity for…Bliss is just as deserving. We saw her DJ before she “hit it big” and already knew she had the skills. Now we know she’s also got the right attitude towards a show on Soundpond, which is refreshing in a commercially successful artist. We’ve attached part of her first application email here, just to prove it. Oh yeah, and she used to be a guest on Soundpond back in the O.G days, the first 6 months. This ain’t an entirely new thing

Hey guys it’s Roweana here (Bliss),
I’d be keen to get involved! I currently tour on weekends and dont work at all during the weekdays so have plenty of spare time to work on my music. I’d say I’ve definitely improved since way back when I first started djing and used to guest on my friends shows. I have so much great music I want to play and share with people but can’t really in most clubs I play at as they all love that one “club style party commercial stuff.” I have so many genres I usually mash into a big party set rnb, house, tech, dubstep, breaks, rock, classical, dnb, electro, big room house & commercial. I really love house (real house) and euro house, tribal and tech house and would love to play that in a show…..<continued>
